The Cambrian
The Cambrian is a collaboration between long-time Paddington resident, Robby Ingham, and some of Sydney’s leading architects, interior and landscape designers. Formerly a row of shop fronts on Oxford Street, The Cambrian is set to be reborn with artisan tenants taking over the spaces, and 15 new residences both above and behind, all surrounding a central garden courtyard.
Frost* were tasked with creating a multi-stage campaign to launch and secure tenants for this historic and unique opportunity – a limited offering for the fortunate few. To address this, ‘A Paddington Story’ was created. Using a classic typewriter-inspired font, a bold yet elegant colour palette, and a series of evocative vignettes, The Cambrian’s ‘next chapter’ was brought to life with contemporary sophistication that would appeal to it’s discerning audience.
The campaign launched with a series of window graphics across the shopfronts. Throughout construction, vignettes and crops of the renders revealed what was to come; simultaneously directing interested parties to ‘register your intrigue’ online. A range of digital and printed collateral all followed; rolled out to encourage people to enquire. As the main designer on the project, I worked across all assets, collaborating with the creative directors and copywriters from conception to roll-out. Together, we brought this rare opportunity to life with a campaign that ensured The Cambrian a new era of residential and retail success. Proof of this came when every apartment sold in just 5 hours.
